Who We Are & What We Do
The Friends of the New Hanover County Library is a non-profit organization with hundreds of members. In 2021 we celebrate 45 years of advocacy for, support of, and service to our local public library because "libraries are essential to the functioning of a democratic society and . . . are the great symbols of the freedom of the mind."*
