BOOK SALE

The Friends of the New Hanover County Public Library Fall Book Sale raised over $50,000. The book sales began in 1983 and have raised over $500,000 for the Library's purchases of new books and materials and for support of its programs.

Some of the unsold books from the fall book sale were given to Home of Hope India and some will be shipped to Iraq along with a recently deployed local National Guard Unit.

The Friends Board and in particular the Book Sale Committee commends its volunteers for their many contributions during the fall book sale effort.
